WHAT IS REESE'S CAKES FOR A CAUSE

IS REESE'S CAKES FOR A CAUSE A BAKERY?

Yes, however the celebratory baked goods are a means to a fundraising end.  Every order placed is customized to your desire. Reese, Founder and Baker will work with you, to come up with the perfect cake and/or cupcakes for your occasion.  The cost is based upon supplies then that number is doubled. The doubled amount is the total donation for the cake. This guarantees that the money for supplies goes back into my supply fund and the remaining is funded toward the Kitchen Kit or one of the three other programs of RCC. My time is completely volunteered. Of course, customers can always give more than fifty percent and every penny goes toward on of the four RCC programs.

WHAT SERVICE DO YOU PROVIDE FOR THE COMMUNITY?

Currently, Reese's Cakes for a Cause partners directly with Eastern Area Community Ministries Distribution Center and the YMCA Safe Place. During Bi-Monthly and Monthly group classes led by Founder, Reese Anderson, a variety of topics are discussed to promote Healthy Families and Happy Memories by empowering individuals of all ages to view their kitchen spaces as an oasis to nurture healthy lifestyles. Group Curriculum is based on Four Programs: Hulas for Health, Packaroos, Kitchen Kits, Creative Cupcakes

In the past, charitable donations and fundraising efforts have also been used for Toys for Tots, Art Supplies for children at Wayside Mission, Hygiene Products for Home of the Innocence, Project Night Night Totes and The Dragonfly Foundation, all sponsored by Reese's Cakes for a Cause.

HOW DO I PAY?

Customers can pay using Venmo@Reeses-CC-2017, cash or checks made out to Reese Anderson.

HOW TO I GET MY CAKE?

In the past, cakes are picked up at a neutral location, my home or delivered by myself to your home or venue, usually the day of the event.

A CHARITY'S JOURNEY

A Heart for Helping

When I was ten, I offered to make my sister's American Girls Cake. I loved everything about taking the order from her, getting the details perfected and seeing her face upon completion. At the celebration, someone asked if I would make a cake for their child's next birthday. Because of my age, it was a bit weird to take money for a cake.  I have always loved volunteering and helping others so my mom and I decided that I could use the money to help others. It was then I began my journey to figure out exactly how, who I would be helping.

TODAY'S MISSION

"It feels like a home now." Nita (pictured to the right)

After four years of giving to other charities, I have established my own mission. Reese's Cakes for a Cause's mission is to provide kitchen equipment to families or individuals transitioning to independent living. RCC has provided microwaves/carts, tables/chairs, utensils, cutlery, bowls, plates and many other household goods to families.

TODAY'S GOALS

Healthy Kitchens

The goal of Reese's Cakes is to create healthy, nurturing kitchen environments for local families. My favorite comment that was music to my ears and let me know I'm headed in the right direction with this mission was when I heard, "It feels like a home now." It feels beyond amazing to provide tools to empower families make a fresh start." Reese Anderson, Founder.
